Der PenPartner von WACOM ist ein äußerst kleines, dünnes und leichtes Grafiktablett für den AMIGA und den PC.

Das Gerät, das gezielt für den Consumer-Markt konzipiert ist, bietet eine Auflösung von 1000 DPI und wird mit einem kabellosen, drucksensitiven Stift mit Radierfunktion ausgeliefert. Anschlug am AMIGA findet der PenPartner an der seriellen Schnittstelle. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt über den Tastaturanschluß des A4000/3000/2000 oder umgebauten A1200 mit einem kurzen Adapterkabel. Da der A1200 nicht Über eine abgetrennte Tastatur verfügt, muß hier mit einem zusätzlichen Adapter überbrückt werden, dessen Preis bis Redaktionsschluß noch nicht feststand.

Mitgeliefert wird ein spezieller Treiber, der die Daten des drucksensitiven Stiftes und Radierers zum Amiga überträgt. Die softwareseitige Ansteuerung des PenPartner unterscheidet sich von der des ArtPads, weshalb ein spezieller Treiber eingesetzt werden muß.
